PROFILE OF REVEREND CYNTHIA ALLEN

Reverend Cynthia Allen was a member of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) for over 40 years. Under the Lord’s leading, in July 2005 she transferred her membership to the Society for Helping Church, a ministry for the deaf and hearing, under the pastorate of Reverend Repsie M. Warren. After serving there faithfully for many years, she realized that her season at Society had come to an end. Recognizing that she needed to be prepared for an expanded ministry role, Reverend Allen sought the Lord for direction. The Holy Spirit prompted her to visit the Bethel Deliverance International Church pastored by Bishop Eric A. Lambert, Jr. As the opening scripture was read, Psalm 133: 1, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Reverend Allen knew that God had once again placed her exactly where she should be.

Saved at an early age, Reverend Allen has worked faithfully in the church since childhood. She has served in many capacities, adopting the principle of Ecclesiastes 9:10, “Whatsoever thine hand findeth to do, do it with thy might." Growing up in the Church of God in Christ, under the tutelage of powerful, godly men and women, Reverend Allen was well trained in church protocol and doctrine. She organized and served as the president of the East Philadelphia District COGIC Nurses Unit, and has served as a Sunday School Teacher, Praise & Worship Leader, Choir Directress, Youth Advisor, Programs Coordinator, Seminar/Workshop Coordinator.

Licensed as an Evangelist in the Church of God in Christ in 1991, Reverend Allen frequently functioned as the facilitator and presenter for topics during state meetings. She was ordained in 2011, and is a gifted preacher and teacher, who can show how the gospel is relevant to people of all ages. She also pens devotional writings that encourage many.

Reverend Allen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, a Master of Science degree in organizational dynamics, and a Master of Divinity degree from Biblical Theological Seminary. She is employed as a Clinical Content Manager, at the American Board of Internal Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.
