Coming Devotional

Exciting News!

Get ready for the upcoming release of my new devotional about the lessons I learned from my cat, KIP.

"Kept In Peace"

This was my first very own pet.  Yes, growing up we had different pets, in fact there were dogs, but they were not mine.  I helped with some aspects of their care but did not take on primary responsibility for them.  And if it had been totally up to me, they would not have been a part of our household.  They were interesting though.  We had a dog that had a false pregnancy, another dog that had the fame of actually using the bathroom; at least he used the paper in the bathroom.  We also had a dog that was scared to go outside.  But now I have a little kitten.  There had never been a cat in our household before.

My niece went with me to pick out the kitten and she agreed that we both were attracted to the best kitten.  My niece became godmother to my newly acquired family member.   I remember he was somewhat a loner, not directly with the other kittens; looking somewhat fearful.  He was a beautiful tan with lighter color swirls decorating his fur.  I get to name my first pet because he is mine.  I chose the name Kip.  So I started my new journey with Kip, which has been full of lessons about the love and faithfulness of God and the frailty of myself and others. I have been Kept In Peace through him who loved me and put the desire in my heart to get KIP.  Welcome to my story!

Lord help me to rest and not to be fearful because I belong to you.

“But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not; for I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”

Isaiah 43:1
