Arm Yourself

I Timothy 6: 11-12
11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Child of God, we are in a battle. Satan wants to separate us from God. He constantly tries to get us to follow the desires of our old sinful nature and yield to our fleshly desires rather than yielding to the Holy Spirit. But, God has given us the power to overcome the enemy and to stand against the devices of satan. Arm yourselves with the weapons of God, clothe yourselves in the righteousness of Christ, and, as the scripture above says, pursue (strive to gain; seek to attain or accomplish; practice) godliness, faith, love, patience & gentleness. Hold fast to what God says, let your life reflect what you profess, serve God in word and deed. Don't just talk the talk, but walk the walk. Let the life of Christ be evident in your life. Someone is watching!
